Meet the artist— Rory
Hiya! I’m Rory, a Richmond-based frelance artist and uprooted tattoo apprentice. I spent most of my 20s in Scotland and despite my best efforts, I wasn’t able to secure a way to stay permanently; I had to leave my tattoo apprenticeship in Edinburgh and return to the US in April 2025. My work is heavily influenced by those experiences as well as my studies of Japanese language and culture, explorations of identity, and my love of nature (especially birds).

The Commission Process
-

Plan with Purpose
Together, we plan a project that’s realistic to your budget and tailored to your specific needs. You’ll have the opportunity for input every step of the way.
-

Collaborate Openly
You’re part of the process. Communication is always open and decisions shared—the final work requires your vision.
-

Adapt as Needed
Every project is different. I make sure to stay flexible and responsive so that the process fits your flow—not the other way around.
-

Deliver with Confidence
When your commission is delivered, it’s not just a finished product—it’s a bespoke original work, made with exceptional care and real human effort.
Noteworthy Artwork
Integrity, creativity, and empathy shape the way I work. These aren't just words—they’re the foundation of everything I create. I believe in quality work, pushing my skills further with every piece, and making art that is deeply human.
