After six months of apprenticeship with a beloved mentor in Edinburgh, Scotland, I found myself forced to leave the UK in early spring 2025. While leaving may not have been in my control, my dedication to the craft is— I’ve continued to self-study the fundamentals of tattoo design and tattooing until I can find a studio to learn with. Below is a selection of studies, practice, and flash I’ve made while forging my path to become a tattoo artist.
